First impression is that this is high quality, not cheap plastic. I'm not sure if 3d printed, find of has that feel, but the pieces are well made and not cheapo plastic, but you can feel these will last many cycles. Also, there is a lack of written instructions which I don't like because I do these with my little kids to build, and that is much harder without paper. That's a minor inconvenience, but paper is king still -- although the videos are indeed helpful!Next impression is that this is well-though out. The halo for the wire cover isn't the best, it kind of comes off a lot and doesn't stay on, but otherwise everything else is tight, snaps well, and looks like one cohesive piece. It really comes together nicer. The light towers are also perfectly positions and very uniform, which is impressive that the entire tower gets exactly what it needs. Very nice way of lighting this product!Where we struggled is the seeds. We had limited luck with what they sent us, partially because of our own fault. So no fault there. We went out and got some pre-planted/started plants from a big box store and put some in the wool and some in clay pebbles, and have started to do it that way. Right away we can see that it is working, although we had to adjust the wool a little. The plants initially started to not good well going from dirt to clay/wool, but they are rebounding now with the strong light and constant nutrient-rich water from the system. I will update with a photo once we get the plants to grow well, but right not it isn't pretty and I don't want it to affect what people think of the entire system -- the plants are rebounding, just looks bad, but I have no doubt it is not the product's fault but ours.To this point, the versatility of this system is clear. You can grow you own seeds, or you can use started plants in other mediums (i would say use hydroponics from seed starter kits with the other big brand or do your own with a plastic container and clay pebbles), or buy plants on sale at a box store and convert to clay pebbles/wool and put in here. So you have many options for this!As for value for the money, this is expensive -- it is not cheap at all for what it is. But it is also quality, and there's really nothing here that I say is of poor quality -- even the smart timer that they give you is very good quality. The sellers did not cut corners (well, maybe the written instructions!), but the product itself is really thought out and made well. If you are someone who is just getting into hydroponics, this system might be too advanced for you unless you are willing to put the time into it to learn -- then go for it! But if you have some hydroponics experience, either with the other major brand or grew in clay pebbles/wool and containers before, this system will double or triple your output very easily -- it really is a lot more advanced and someone who has a little bit of a green thumb will really excel with this. But you need to know what you are doing a little bit more than the average person -- meaning, if you think you will just be able to plant seeds and have lettuce in a few weeks, you are wrong.But if you know what you are doing, you'll have lettuce coming regularly at all times when you get this going -- because you can plan how you will "rotate" the crops (meaning you want plants growing at different phases are different locations on the tower so that a large plant doesn't block light for the smaller ones, got to have them growing more balanced). We use ours indoors in the unfinished basement, and have had no problems at all with the -- not even slightly. And it can be used constantly year round. Great product and highly recommend.

Upon opening my package, I found that most of my plant nutrients had spilled but was able to save at least some to get me started.Instructions are not included unfortunately, they do however provide a QR code with a link to a video of how to set this up. It’s very easy to follow along for the most part. I only struggled when it came to the gauge because mine wouldn’t fit in. The one in the video showed it put together but mine came apart and no matter what I did, it just wouldn’t work. I ended up having to cut it, hoping that works out. In the video they only show how to set up the tower and lights but it would be helpful to show how to fill up the tank and how to attach the seed tray.Otherwise, im so excited to start growing. From other reviews I can see that plant growth is fast. This is such a neat idea, it’s really easy to set up (for the most part), and it’s very reasonably priced which is why I can’t give this less than 4 stars.

I don’t usually write reviews, but after doing a lot of research on which hydroponic system to buy, I am so glad I bought this one. I’m extremely busy and wanted one that was low effort. It was super easy to put together (did it in less than 10 minutes), and after that it basically runs itself.This photo was taken less than a month after setup, and the growth has been truly amazing. The large water tank means I’m not constantly refilling it, and the WiFi timer handles the lighting and watering so I don’t have to think about it.It’s compact, visually appealing, very low maintenance, and really well made with a good sturdy material. I was worried about it not fitting in my apartment and its design maximizes space but still provides a variety of grow holes. It fits on a table top. Also love how it is gardening without the mess no dirt or spills. It's perfect if you want fresh herbs or greens without the daily work. Whether you’re new to hydroponics or just want something reliable, don’t overthink it, get this one!!!

I love my Hydro Tower. As soon as I got it to my house, I was excited to get it set up. Assembly is simple and the instructions are foolproof. It was much bigger than it looked like in pictures! I can’t wait to see the growth this baby will have. Whoever designed this product is a pure genius and would recommend this product to any gardening enthusiast at any level of experience
